Kathleen Anderson was named a portfolio manager for BlackRock’s Utility and Infrastructure Trust Fund in February. She is a member of the Fundamental Equity division of BlackRock’s Alpha Strategies Group, lead portfolio manager for the firm’s Utilities and Telecommunications Fund, and a portfolio manager for its Equity Dividend Fund. In December Wendy Derzaph was named Prosecutor of the Year by the Coalition Against Insurance Fraud. This was her third 2012 award, following the International Association of Special Investigative Units (IASIU) Prosecutor of the Year Award, and the National/International Public Service Award for the prosecution of an 11-defendant insurance fraud case.

Stathis Antonakopoulos recently opened STIX, a Mediterranean-themed eatery on East 23rd Street. The restaurant’s specialty is kebabs made from seasonal, local, and unprocessed ingredients. Previously Antonakopoulos served as director of operations for Kellari Hospitality Group. Neftali Carrasquillo was named associate commissioner of the Fraud Unit of the Texas Department of Insurance. He previously worked as inspector general for the City of Albuquerque. In January Monsignor Jamie Gigantiello left his post at Mary Queen of Heaven Church in Old Mill Basin, Brooklyn, to serve as pastor at St. Bernard’s, in Bergen Beach. Kathleen Romagnano was named president and CEO of Savings Bank of Danbury (Conn.). She was previously the bank’s executive VP and COO. Joyce M. Sullivan (MBA) received the Galaxy Award for Service at the New York Women’s Agenda 20th anniversary gala. Bennet Susser is partner in the new law firm Jardim, Meisner & Susser, P.C., located in Florham Park, N.J. He will continue to practice litigation in New Jersey and New York, specializing in product liability, life sciences, insurance, complex commercial litigation, and regulatory advice.

Deborah Roldán (MBA) was appointed assistant director, exhibitions, of the Museum of Fine Arts in Houston, Tex. She was previously senior VP of administration. Howard Tepper (MBA) was appointed VP for physician practices and ambulatory services at St. Joseph’s Healthcare System. Previously he served as CEO for Manhattan’s Physician Group.
