In May Michael Fishbein began his tenure as VP for academic affairs and dean at Mitchell College. Previously he was vice chancellor for special projects at Antioch University Midwest. In addition to serving in key administrative positions at various colleges, Fishbein, a professor of psychology, has taught at Daniel Webster College, Roosevelt University, and Vassar College. Retired from advertising in 2001, Gerald E. Scorse (MBA) shares his ideas on investment taxation on numerous online outlets and through nationally circulated newspaper op-eds. Scorse also taught as an adjunct in Baruch’s Department of Marketing for many years.

Tax and advisory firm WeiserMazars LLP has named Vincent Burke (MBA) to head its Pennsylvania practice as partner-in-charge of the Philadelphia office. In May Alan Gaines was appointed chairman of the board of directors of Richfield Oil & Gas Company. The founder of Dune Energy, Inc., where he served as chairman of the board of directors from its 2001 inception though 2011, Gaines has over 30 years of experience as an energy investment and merchant banker.
