Temperatures are rising and winter seemingly skipped spring to go straight into summer. This can only mean one thing…festival season is coming. Here’s a list of food festivals that Forest Hills will be hosting for the next few months.
Queens Night Market
Every Saturday from 6pm-midnight, you can catch the Queens Night Market in Flushing Meadows Corona Park. Here you’ll be able to sample diverse foods from over 50 vendors. In addition, there will be plenty of retail booths and live performances. Stop by from April 28- August 18th and September 29th- October 27th.
The Woodside Festival
If you venture just west of Forest Hills you’ll stumble into Woodside. Hopefully, the day you stumble is May 26th because that’s when the neighborhood will be hosting their festival of over 280 vendors. Expect to see the best restaurants, artists, and shops putting out booths for everyone to enjoy. Stop by between 10am and 6pm.
Forest Hills Festival Of The Arts
Forest Hills’s iconic semi-annual festival is back for its 18th year on June 10th from 12pm-6pm. Most of Austin Street’s restaurants will partake with their own booth including the crowd favorite, 5 Burro Cafe. Besides the food stand, art, jewelry, and clothing vendors will be just some of the plentiful options to visit.
63rd Drive-Rego Park Festival
As summer winds down expect to see over 150 vendors flocking to Rego Park on September 15th. Delicious fair foods will be available for purchase alongside rides, music, and art booths. Free to the public, this festival goes from 10am-6pm.
The Infatuation Presents EEEEEATSCON
There’s an “E” for everyone at EEEEEATSCON. This is perhaps the most unique festival Forest Hills has ever seen. Their website describes themselves as “a one-day food experience built in the spirit of a music festival, but with restaurants as the headliners.” In addition to top-notch food vendors, you’ll get access to food panel discussions and live music. You can purchase tickets for October 6th on their website.
