      Medical Marijuana is a beneficial alternative opposed to using opioids. I plan on supporting my research with statistics. Along with talking about pros and cons of these substances. Mostly medicated sources will be needed in order to fulfill this topic. If I can also find experiments of people who have been prescribed opioids versus medical marijuana this will be very helpful as well. I may find sources that support opioids which would kind of go against the claim I am trying to make when researching as well as since I am choosing such a specific class of drugs this may cause a lack of sources to be found as well. As well as finding sources that may go into too much of the cons of marijuana.

      This topic is interesting to me because in my culture Marijuana is not seen as a bad thing. It has to be used for health purposes and seen to be very beneficial. My mom would always compare how different the health treatments are in the U.S. compared to Jamaica. Due to the fact that in Jamaica herbs are used for healing and treatment but when you come to America they tend to prescribe pills in order to heal you. The readers should care about my topic because these opioids being prescribed are causing addiction that leads to frequent death while medical merijuana is a more healthier approach.
