Depression

Depression ranges in severity from mild, transient sadness to severe, chronic depression. Depression is characterized by a persistent sense of sadness and loss of interest that prevents you from carrying out your normal activities. Many individuals these days have been going up or have been feeling depressed, but one of the people who tend to suffer from depression is college students.

College students find today’s society to be quite oppressive since they are pressured to perform at their very best. College students are under pressure to give their all, and many worry that they won’t be able to. Being exposed to a strange and unfamiliar environment can also be challenging because many people are not prepared to deal with unfamiliar circumstances.

Students are susceptible to depressive disorders because they have new responsibilities that they did not previously have, such as working and studying at the same time, which causes them to feel overwhelmed. Because they have a lot of responsibilities and must make important decisions that they don’t know how will affect them, they become frustrated and afraid, which leads to depression.
