My group has done in depth research on articles and studies that agree with us about putting an end to childhood obesity. Our PowerPoint deck was created in a systematical way. We arranged the order of slides to represent the issue, the cause and root of the issue, our solutions to the issue, and what types of funds we will need to be successful. In the presentation we will be more persuasive while in our paper we are being more factual. In the presentation we are also focusing less on the financials and numerical data, as we do not have time for this. We will maintain our audiences attention by trying to be as relatable as possible, showing the audience that this a huge problem and needs to be solved as soon as possible. To persuade our audience we will use a real life example and statistics that we have researched. We believe the shocking statistics themselves will keep the audience’s attention. We will use the tell/sell communication style because we believe we need to persuade people to start taking action against obesity.
