The excitement of a car journey encouraged me to rise early and prepare for a weekend vacation. I devised a checklist of activities I wished to do on the trip. As I readied myself by lacing up my shoes and strapping on my bag, a loud thud came from my brother’s room, capturing my attention. Witnessing him rushing, he hastily tossed various items into a bag. I detected tension in his gaze, and his rushed packing indicated unease in his mind. Swiftly slipping on his shoes, he traversed between the house and the car, gathering supplies for our upcoming trip. Seated in the car, waiting for the car to start, I observed my brother emerging in a hurry, his feet barely slipped into his shoes, and jumping in the car. Squeezing himself between my sister and me, his mind solely concerned with the book he had, ready to read. Putting on his earphones, he immersed himself in the book’s pages, becoming lost in it.
