Transformations play an important role in Metamorphoses fueled by love, but why does love rarely lead to a happy ending? What does Ovid emphasize through the poem as the destructive qualities of romance?

Do females have power in the divine and human societies portrays in Gilgamesh? I believe that most of the females have an equal too and many times a greater power than that of the males in Gilgamesh.  

Is having metamorphosis positively affect the god and goddess in Ovid’s metamorphoses or negatively? In what way does transformation affect them?

Are the animals in Aesop’s Fables simply stand-ins for humans? Or does their inclusion serve another purpose?
