Hi, how are you? I’m Anselma. I came all the way from Brooklyn College because I’m really interested in what the Black and Puerto Rican Student Community is doing. I’m also new to CUNY and wondering about everything that’s going on right now.

I was reading the Five Demands document and am really interested in the first demand – a school for Black and Puerto Rican Studies. What do you think about that idea? I haven’t made up my mind about it, but am going to learn more about this and everything that’s going on with the idea of open admissions. Have you heard about that yet?

I’m very excited to be in college! Years from now, when I am much older, I will talk about my experiences at Brooklyn College, and my thoughts about open admissions. You can listen to it here. Please do, and it was so nice to meet you!
