New Student Convocation

It’s the CUNY-wide New Student Convocation day, and the chancellor is speaking on the City Hall lawn about the institutions’ 175-year history.

Here in the crowd, you think back upon those years at City College, where Black and Puerto Rican students and their allies rose up and demanded their school to represent them and their communities in admissions and curriculum.
