Technology Entrepreneurship

Name three factors that impact how a new technological innovation fits existing market conditions.

  1. Early users’ experience is rewarding and immediate
  2. Early users discussing the needs and problems of the product with peers
  3. Involving your early users in product or service development

Name two factors that impact “the market window of opportunity.”

  1. Experiment with early adapters as you polish your marketing plan
  2. Know where you are on the hype cycle as you promote your innovation

  1. How would you reply to the argument that Google Glass already got to the early majority stage regarding its function and price?

  2. According to the definition of the early majority stage, it says that: “The early majority tends to be roughly 34% of the population, and will adopt a new product after seeing it used successfully by either “innovators” and “early adopters” that they know personally. They are willing to take a chance with a new product”

Regarding price and function, I think it would be right to say that it has somehow reached early majority, but only when it comes to price and function. Many people know what Google Glass is and what its functions are, but that doesn’t necessarily mean that people will buy it just because they have tried their co-worker’s or friend’s pair.
