Baruch has many many many great clubs on offer to it’s undergraduate and graduate students. Every Tuesday and Wednesday the administration has even opted to open up a 2 hour time slot right around noon for what they call “club hours”. Some of the larger clubs even have their own rooms which are accessible all throughout the week. During club hours all clubs can meet in their assigned rooms and nobody has classes scheduled during these club hours. Today I went to go check out the Hillel club with my friend Sarah. Sarah is a regular in the Hillel room. Hillel is, in essence, a Jewish heritage club, but is open to everyone and anyone. I met so many cool and friendly people. They are rooted in the jewish community and religion but it is not at all overwhelming and I felt very comfortable their. They are even organizing a trip to Israel, based on Jewish Birthright, and students can pay a small amount to travel to Israel as part of their birthright. I’m going to be honest, as good of an offer as this is I do not think I will be able to attend this trip as I am living out of pocket as a college student. All in all I had a great time.
