When I saw that "14 million Americans are uninsured and living in poverty," I honestly wasn't surprised. I mean, it really shouldn't be anyone's first time hearing that there are millions of people in America that are living underneath the poverty line and are not receiving adequate healthcare. This very true and sad reality looms over the heads of millions each night as they lie down and go to sleep each and every night. It saddens me to know that there are many people who don't have something as simple as healthcare. I believe that the government should have the responsibility to take care of it's citizens. Although some may argue that providing insurance to all Americans would be costly, the government should provide it's citizens with at least some basic form of healthcare coverage.
