Title | POST #1 |
Content | The Vark quiz is a series of questions that attempts to reveal the method which you learn best based on your answers. How accurate it is at doing this is dubious. The questions creates a situation and asks how you would approach it. Whether I approach it visually, aurally, kinesthetically depends on the circumstances. However, it did reveal that reading text alone is not how I learn best. In my experience, I need to have some images, sounds, or demonstrations to make whatever I'm trying to learn click.
What I can take away from this quiz is that I should supplement any reading with other stimulus. If I'm in class, I shouldn't just read the slides, I should listen to the professor, take notes, ask questions. If I'm studying from a textbook, I should find some real life examples of whatever it is, from video or image. If I'm trying to learn a skill, I should do the task rather than just read the manual. |
