I am writing to express my interest in the Tiffany & Co. Commodity Analysis internship position for the summer of 2025. As a current undergraduate student majoring in finance at Baruch College, I am about to enter my sophomore year and I am very much looking forward to having a valuable internship experience this summer to adapt to the pace of future work in advance. To this end, I hope that a company like Tiffany & Co. will give me this opportunity.
Although I have not yet had formal internship experience related to finance, I have learned a lot of valuable skills that can be used in this field in my current job, including how to properly work and communicate with people of different backgrounds and personalities. These experiences have helped me develop strong interpersonal skills, patience, and adaptability. These qualities are essential in any collaborative work environment. In addition, through previous experiences, I have also learned to complete tasks under pressure, on time, and with high quality. I believe these skills will be very helpful when working in a fast-paced team like Tiffany. In addition, at Baruch College, a college known for its financial field, I have also taken a number of finance-related courses, which have enabled me to master important technical and analytical skills. Through statistics, I learned how to calculate statistics and use Excel. With these skills, I can help companies interpret financial statements and conduct market trend analysis to find the most suitable operating model for the company. Not only that, these skills are very applicable to merchandising analysis, especially when reviewing product mix, identifying performance patterns, and supporting inventory forecasting processes. I also have a deep understanding of consumer behavior and business cycles, which I think are essential for effective decision-making in retail analysis.
In addition to the course, I recently completed a personal project, including building my own website to showcase my resume and skills. Through this process, I have accumulated practical experience in presenting data clearly and professionally, managing tasks independently, and solving problems creatively.
What attracts me most about Tiffany is its exquisite craftsmanship, innovation, and the inheritance of brand stories. I admire how Tiffany combines timeless elegance with modern business strategies, and I am very much looking forward to the opportunity to contribute to this brand that has been inspiring customers since 1837.
