Platforms: Blogs@Baruch / Blackboard / Perusall
Ideally, we would be able to streamline all of the things to do for this class
on one platform. Unfortunately, there are many pros and cons to manage
that will require using separate platforms. However, the below will clarify
what will be used and for what purpose.
- Blogs@Baruch — course schedule, course readings, and some informal writing. We will use our WordPress website for our course schedule, links to resources, and links to some
readings. - Blackboard — submit assignments. Blackboard will be used to submit your Written Assignments and to house certain resources and readings that might not allowed to be
stored on a public website for copyright reasons. You can access
Blackboard here. When you click on the link, look to the right side of the screen and click the button that reads “Login to Blackboard.” Enter in your CUNYFirst username and
password. You will find our class on the left side of the page. - Perusall — read the course textbook. We will use Perusall to access our course textbook. Here are instructions to access the book via Perusall.
- Email — get in touch. We will use our Baruch email accounts for certain
communication. You can also email me and your classmates through Blackboard.
