  1. The author’s displacement enabled him to view the park in another perspective. He sees the park in a different way. He was able to view the negative aspects of the park.

    1. He was also able to not only see the bad but also the good. His displacement from Europe helped him see the park with new eyes. He was able to appreciate and compare one scenery to a scene from another place (Germany, Central Europe).

  2. 2) I believe that the park brought him emotional stability because is something that the author has been comfortable around for years. Seeing something change for the author may be difficult for them to adapt. They are emotionally sound when they are in a comfortable environment.

  3. I think that the park comforted the author and reminded him of his home. That can sometimes allow people to be emotionally stable and cope with change.
