1. Mircelis, I’m glad you decided to delve into the Asylum process. When reviewing your Creative Remix presentation, I realized that showing the video was probably not a great idea; I think it really limited your ability to explain the Asylum seeking process to the class. Rather than focusing on the question of whether or not it’s safe to cross the Rio Grande, it might have been useful to focus more on the process. The U.S. has little control over the dangers people encounter en route to the border, but we do have a lot to say about what happens once someone applies for asylum status. Because the video seemed to emphasize what happens in Mexico while people are en route to the U.S., it doesn’t seem entirely relevant to your topic. I also wonder about the title of your presentation – when were you going to explain the role of ankle monitors in all this??? Thanks for sharing your research with us!
