  1. Response to Question 3:
    From my own personal interpretation of that quote, Aciman means that being “lost where you were lost” can evoke a sense of familiarity within a person that comforts them. Although a person might not like the feeling of being lost, it can be “reassuring” in the sense that you already know what that emotion feels like and it isn’t unfamiliar.
