For this displacement post, I chose to show the story of North Korean Woman, Yeonmi Park. She and her family have experience and witness displacement in their country and on their journey to freedom.

This story is so sad. She has experienced so much in such a short life span. What was shocking was when she mentioned how her friend’s mother was killed because she saw a Hollywood movie. Their journey to freedom cost the death of her father and the rape of her mother. I believed that after they escaped they were helped or lived better, but after seeing this video, I learned how there are 300,000 people vulnerable in China.
