Hi everyone!
My full name is Angela Perez. My pronouns are (she/her). I am currently a senior and hope to graduate in marketing management. I took a personality test and found that I was described as a “campaigner” which I thought was funny, but explains why I chose this as my major. I am a psychology minor, and all the psych classes I’ve taken I’ve found so interesting! I also think it ties well with my marketing major as it is a great asset knowing how the human brain works when marketing a new product or service.
I’ve always loved literature and history, so I’m excited for this class as I get to learn more about both! I used to read a lot of young adult novels and trilogies in middle school, but one of the first works that impacted me was the Harry Potter series by JK Rowling. I started reading it as an assignment for a 4th grade class and ended up buying all of the books. Something about the series was so magical to me, and it really sparked my imagination when I was younger as I was able to visualize the wizarding world that JK Rowling wrote about. It made me think that anything was possible, and that if you were a hero like Harry was and did everything right, things were going to turn out great in the end.
I’ve also joined a new business start-up competition hosted by CUNY to create a business from scratch with a team. I’m looking forward to working with my team to create the best product or service possible. I am starting my own online business as well this year where I sell jewlery.
