Introduction

Summary

Hi! My name Is jessie Zacharakis and my preferred rponouns are she/her. I am currently a junior studying philosophy at Baruch. Some facts about me are that I am a tattoo artist, I have 2 cats, and I grew up here in New York.

The last book that I read that had an impact on my life was The Fall by Albert Camus. As I mentioned before I study philosophy and Camus is one of my favorite philosophers and authors. The fall depicts a conversation between two people, a self titled “judge-penitent” and a stranger. This book stuck out to me a lot because of how it was written. Although it is known that the conversation is between two people, it is almost as if the reader is the other person. The main character Jean-Baptiste Clemece confides in this stranger about his life and his philosophical beliefs however we only know what he is saying, the stranger’s responses are not represented so it leaves a lot up for interpretation which I think is so interesting.
