Frederick Douglass & American Slavery
- Rishi, Eunice, & Kirk
Hey classmates!(Above) Here is our group’s creative project. We decided to make a powerpoint with links to resources that help give a better understanding to Frederick Douglass’s narrative and American Slavery as a whole. We provided brief synopses of the resources on the slides.
Dear Rishi, Eunice, and Kirk, You all are to be commended for being able to get your presentation together right while we were in the middle of transitioning to distance learning and adjusting to an extremely unsettling and anxiety producing new reality. Thanks for being so flexible. I really appreciate the resources you put together and will encourage your classmates to take a look at them if they haven’t already done so. I was particularly intrigued by the film, which I had never seen and by the Google map. It was helpful to be able to see exactly where Douglass’ life took him. I hope that you all found this project satisfying, even if you had to hustle at the last minute!
Please do not forget that part of this assignment is that you are each required to post a response to the text on the blog. As you recall, your response must make a connection either between the text and the world, the text and your own life experience, or the text and another text you’ve encounter (either in this course or elsewhere.)
