The specificities of the medium: live relay.
In this short passage we discuss the different abilities of live relay. In the 1960’s there were technologies that had the power to play live motion pictures that artists have created to the viewers. It is interesting to me because we live in a present day where we Skype and FaceTime each other in an instant. Meaning we have access to transmit information and in this case our artwork through several mediums without the long wires, spotty internet and slow upload/download speed times. I cannot really picture living in the 60’s having to use such slow internet and technology because of how advanced we are today. But I can imagine how the people of that generation were so excited to see and experience live relay. They have never thought something like that can be possible. My grandparents told me during there generation it was not even a thought. Fast forward 50 years and live relay is now live streaming instantly.
