Exploring the Metropolitan Museum

Last Tuesday one of my class was canceled so I ended up with a five hour break until my next class for the day. I suggested to Mir and Anita that we should go to the Metropolitan Museum so that we can find an artifact to write about for Latin class and also for our Blog. We had some trouble getting there since it was our first time, but we managed to get there without getting lost. When we got there went up to the counter bought our ticket and asked where the Mesoamerica section was. There were so many fascinating artifacts in the Mesoamerica section that I didn’t know which one I should pick to write my about. I took pictures of a few of the artifact that I like so I could choose one later. We then went to explore the rest of the museum. Anita and I saw that there was Korean Art so we went to the Asian section to explore. Sadly, there wasn’t much Korean art so I was pretty disappointed. My favorite place in the Asian section was the Chinese courtyard in the style of the Ming Dynasty. The court yard had a breathtaking view. As I walked through the court yard I could also see goldfishes swimming in a pond near the corner of the yard. I took some picture and we went to the next section. Another one of my favorite section was the Egyptian art section where I saw many interesting artifacts. I was fascinated by how many of these Egyptian artifacts had neatly carved colorful designs on them. After we finished exploring the museum we went back to Baruch. I had a great time looking at all the Artifact from different time and places and seeing how similar and different they were with each other.
