One problem that I wanted to discuss on this page is the online shopping experience. During my time at the college campus, at the lunch area, I would often overhead conversation about my fellow students sharing their concerns with their online apparel purchase. The majority of the time people will often say that the clothing item didn’t fit correctly or either express concern with the item being showcased.
This problem brought much concern to me as I felt the lack of empathy online stores fail to showcase. First starters many online stores fail to showcase minorities on their website. Even though some websites have gone ahead and shift to showcasing minority groups on their page, they sometimes also lack body time. This problem also brings much concern to me because not everyone has the same body type as others and therefore leaving out others from being included.
A solution that I want to create up an app that will allow the user to take a photo of themselves and become a mock image on the website apparel selection. This app I feel will tackle the problem many users faces when shopping online. First, it will allow user to see first hand how the clothing size will look on themselves before they purchase the item, therefore cutting back on the return process. Second, this will allow the user to see how the clothing will look base on their skin color and body type. By allowing this app to function many people will feel more confident in their online purchase.
