Food Stamp Cuts Leads to Nationwide Obesity

This article discusses the inflation of food prices in NYC and other cities in America and how food stamps only provide those in need with about $2.30 for each meal. $2.30 is obviously not enough money to buy healthy organic products. So, those who receive these food stamps can only resort to unhealthy fast food. Further food stamp cuts will only increase this obesity even further. House Republicans are putting forth a $40 billion dollar cut. This cut means $205 million dollars less in NYC food stamps alone.
