The French National Team has had many successes with international tournaments, such as being the reigning European champions, as well as being ranked 10th in the world.  After the hard fall in the European Olympic qualifiers to Russia 3-1.

Volleyball in France is a national sport comparing to the recognition with the likes NFL or the NBA in the United States. Many athletes in the United States also play in France: ex David Smith from the United States National Men’s Volleyball team. Many athletes from many countries across the world come to play in France, but also many other countries in Europe.

France has one more chance to qualify for the 2016 Olympics, which will be on June 10 to July 10. If France wins, then they will be another European representative long side with Russia.
