On October 14th i went to the Racial workshop helped by my history professor, Johanna Fernandez, and many other professors. The discussion and view points of many of what the professors and audience said is fascinating. The most fascinating thing i heard was that if we were to eliminate racism, there would be something to take its place to divide us like social class, hobby, hair, or religion still. The idea of Obama being half black and half white also came to my mind when he was still running for elections. Although they said its a controversial idea for a black man to become president, the fact still lies that he is also part Caucasian. Overall i found the discussion very informative that i can relate to.
