The Changing Nature of Race, Power and Ethnicity in the era of Obama and Sotomayor

I found this to be quite an interesting workshop.  First, there were professors who talked about the issue of race and its effect on people today and how it is changing.  Then, it turned into a group discussion where students talked about their own issues and what they think about race in the world today.  Some students who were sharing their stories really had interesting things to say.  I only came to this workshop at first for the extra credit that my history teacher proposed to us by coming to this workshop, but I later found that it was worthwhile because it somewhat enlightened me.
