My Experience

It’s only been a month into my first semester and I’ve already learned a lot about how college works and what’s expected of you. Attending college and turning 18 are alike in lots of ways. With turning 18, comes  a greater amount of responsibility as well as more choices and the freedom to make those choices. College is pretty much the same. We have the freedom to choose for our selves where and when we want to get things done. Unlike high school, every decision or choice we have, is left for us to make. There isn’t anyone holding our hands every step of the way.

As for my own personal experiences so far, I’ve definitely had to learn things the hard way. For example, make sure to double check what room my class is in. I ended up in the wrong class on the very first day! Luckily, it only took me a few minutes to realize. Otherwise, not only would I have sat in the wrong class, but I would’ve miss the right class!

As much as I enjoy exploring the city, I do miss having a larger campus. Not just, for the greenery, but also because sometimes, it feels a little crowded. I guess, coming from a school were there were only about a thousand student in its entirety, it will have to take some time to get used to.
