In high school I always wanted to donate blood but I never had the courage to do it and on the day of the blood drives I always had a test and i didn’t know how donating blood would affect me, so I never donated. On October 7th, I donated blood for the first time. On the day before, I could not believe that I had signed up to donate. Just before they called me in to give blood, a guy fainted in his chair after the gave blood. He was bigger than I was so I was freaking out. I had also signed uop for a psychology experiment at 3:00pm and they didn’t call me until 2:30, so i was also worried about feel okay afterwards and making it to the experiment on time. My bag filled up within 5 minutes though and i felt just fine afterwards. I had a bag of peanuts and had plenty of time to sit down a little afterwards and then go to my psychology experiment. I was really glad to donate blood and in the future I want to continue to donate. It really isn’t that bad of an experience, as long as you eat something before hand.
