this workshop was very interesting…i found that the guest speaker waas very good at expressing his feelings and showing how important it is to express who you are…many people in out society are stereotped and i think that by being who you are, that stereotypes will eventually be eliminated…

About Amanda Oliver
Hhhmm....What do I have to say about myself? Well les start off by saying that I am 17 years old and this is obviously my first year in college. I am half black and half white. I live in Brentwood, Long Island and commute a long hour and a half back and forth. Yeah I know all of you are probably wondering where the heck is Brentwood but just think of it as the new Tanger Outlets that they built in Deer Park. Anyway, I have two sisters and a brother and I am the oldest of them all. (ages 5,6,12). I guess I inherit the traits of a workaholic from my parents because usually after school I work at the outlets as a Sales Associate in Van Heusen. I usually work a 25 hour week which gets a little hectic but I am some how getting use to it with school. I have learned to be alot more organized and keeping track of my time. While at Baruch I plan on majoring in Accounting and minoring in either Enlgish or the possibility of Psychology. I feel that accounting is such an in demand job and accoutnants are needed in so many different types of companies and indistries. From banks to football teams, accountants are able to fulfill many of their goals but obtaining a job as an accountant in a company that is of theiir interest. I think that Baruch College will let me establish this in an interesting and exciting way.
