Light the Night Walk – 10/15/09

This has got to be one of the best events that I’ve taken part in since I’ve been at Baruch. I volunteered at the Light the Night Walk, which was Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Despite the fact that it rained the entire time, it was amazing to see just how many people still came out to give their support. It felt great to be a part of such an important cause. As a volunteer, I helped assemble the lit balloons and distribute them. Each color of the balloon represented different things. The red balloons were for supports, the white balloons were for survivors, and the gold balloons were in memory of loved ones. This was truly a wonderful experience and I’m very thankful that I got to help out.
