On September 17, 2009, I attended a workshop called “Get a Fresh Start” which was from 12:30pm to 2:00pm. It was located on the 5th floor. When I got to the 5th floor, there was a lot of people waiting to get into the workshop. Luckily, I was able to make it inside.
The workshop was pretty short. They handed me a bunch of papers, which contained information on how to declare a minor and what courses I needed to take to get into the Zicklin School of Business. I was not able to meet my advisor because the room was so crowded, there was even a long line on the 5th floor.
I am greatful that I was able to recieve all the information needed in order to plan my future at Baruch. However, I wish they had more of these workshops on the same day. It was so crowded that I only heard a little bit about minors and declaring them. The rest of the information I know was from reading the forms they gave me. It would have been very nice if I was able to talk to the advisors and ask questions. However, it was impossible because it was so crowded and they were very preoccupied.
