I went to the gallery tour that was held in the Sidney Mishkin Gallery on October 13. The photography was of various landscapes, taken from different perspective and with different techniques. Some of the photographs were very interesting, while others seemed
like I could have easily taken them myself. I found it amusing that most of the art at the gallery, as well as the gallery itself, have been donated to Baruch by alumni. It made me feel proud to be part of an institution that people love so much that they are willing to donate to it. Overall, I felt that although this workshop wasn’t really useful, it was an easy and interesting way to complete my workshop requirements.

I attended this workshop as well for the mere fifteen minutes it ran because I find art very interesting and by Baruch having their own gallery I decided I must check it out. We found out alumni donated money to keep the gallery alive, as was mentioned above. I attended on Oct 13 right after running away from the CPA exam workshop and I found this place refreshing. The greatest part about the photography was how much variety there was and it was fun to analyze all the techniques people used. This one was def. a favorite of mine.
I also attended this workshop on October 13th. Firstly when i found out that Baruch has their own gallery i found it really cool and impressing. It is also very nice of the alumni to donate pictures or money to keep the gallery going. This workshop was fun overall. You get to actually learn about the photographers of the photos and see why they painted it. This was a quick 15 minute workshop i enjoyed as opposed to the longer ones.
