Community-Global Awareness: Stop Child Trafficking Coffee House

Last Tuesday, November 17th, I attended the Global Awareness workshop Stop Child Trafficking. This workshop met in the multi-purpose room during club hours. This workshop focused on the illegal selling and prostitution of children. I chose this workshop because it is important to learn what is going on in the world. It was surprising to hear that this trafficking of children was going on in New York. This workshop gave me a lot of information about child trafficking and really put things into perspective. I learned that this is a serious problem and continues to escalate. Something needs to be done for the lives of these kids that do not deserve this.
