On October 22, 2009 I went to a workshop that introduces the STARR Career Development Center and how internship works. This workshop for me is very important because it not only gives information on internship and goals to get one but it also talks about the benefits Career Center has for the student. The Center helps people with resumes, interviews, and it can help you get into internships to jobs. I find this workshop very useful in terms of helping our understanding on what an internship is and what we can get out of interning even if the internship is not a paid one. Even though this presentation is about internship the presenter recommends that freshman should try to stick to our classes and try to get good grades and then maybe try the internships in our sophomore to senior year.

I also attended this workshop on October 22. Although this work shop was rather long it was very beneficial. This was probably the most important and time worthy workshop that i went to. I learned many new things that are essential in getting internships or job in the future. I learned a lot about the Starr Career Development Center, its functions and they way they will help me. I also learned about a lot of cool new website that i can use for my advantage. I am very glad i attended this workshop.
