Library Workshop/ Database Survival Workshop

On October 15th I attended the workshop in the library that tought me about some of the databases that the school subscribes too. We were told that we have free access to these databases, and were told how to get to them using the schools website. The workshop was very useful, because I believe I will use these services for my reports and personal use throughout my time at Baruch College. For example, the database LexisNexis Academic is extremely easy to use and very useful in reasearching any given topic. I found this workshop very helpful, and I suggest people go to this workshop so that they can learn about the databases that the school subscribes to for the students’ convenience.

I also attended this workshop and feel that it is a must! Some of the databases are complicated to use and the librarians are there to help. This workshop was very beneficial considering the fact that i have a research paper due this month. I have used and have become more familiar with the databases shown to us, and it has become easier to find a larger variety of information for my paper.

I attended this workshop as well and was glad to find out that there are so many databases I can access. This is especially useful for the research paper I have coming up and after this workshop I managed to increase the amounts of research I was getting. I also recommend all freshman to attend this workshop, because it actually helps students do better research.
