I found Academic Enrichment extremely purposeless and unproductive. It was lunchtime and the food was basically non-existent. The wait was unbearable. Everyone was perplexed. Apparently, the fiasco occurred because the Baruch committee anticipated 200 students and surprisingly, received the entire Freshman class. In my perspective, I thought the Baruch committee definitely could have handled the situation better. It would have been less complicated and troublesome if they announced a shortage of folders and asked all the students to return at another Academic Enrichment workshop on a later date. They also could have distributed 200 postcards or emails that admitted one person. According to Jeffrey’s blog entry, its evident that he had a awesome experience with cookies, lemonade, jokes, and useful information. Therefore, I’m considering taking another Academic Enrichment workshop.
yea, its seems like most of you were not impressed with the freshmen reception, which is totally understable, being that it was so out of control. they really didn’t expect so many of you to show up, since in the past years, a lot less students showed up. definitely, if you felt you didn’t gain much from this, attend another one where you will be able to get the information you need. also, i’m here to answer any questions as well!
