Today I attended the Managing Relationships Workshop. I don’t think it necessarily taught us how to manage relationships, instead it taught us about the different relationships we have and how it changes through college, such as the relationships we have with our family, our friendships and intimate relationships.
This particular workshop took me out of my comfort zone because they made us go around the room with the intentions of introducing ourselves to five new people. However, I only met one or two new people but the good part about it was I ran into a friend from middle school who I lost contact with after graduation and it was good talking to him.
I would recommend this workshop to someone who wants to meet new people but I would suggest that you don’t go by yourself if you’re not very outgoing. From this experience, I learned that networking is extremely imoprtant in the business world and that it goes beyond just chit-chatting on Facebook and Myspace.
This workshop sounds very usfeul and even fun! Meeting people and networking is very important, as I have mentioned in class! Especially in the business world! I hope more of you guys will attend this workshop!
