Academic Enrichment: Freshman Open House

I really enjoyed this event, especially since I was one of the first to arrive so I did not have to wait in the really long line. 🙂 I had a great conversation with two of the advisers. Although many of what they said was a repeat of topics I had either heard at orientation or read up on my own, it was a nice little reminder so I keep it fresh in my mind. I did learn new things also though for example that I have quite a while before I have to finalize the decision of my major, which is a big weight off my shoulder because I am a little confused on that. I also learned that I have the ability to minor in anything that interests me, not necessarily something that relates to my major and that doing this is actually helpful for me, which was exciting to know I can learn about something different.

Overall this workshop was very enlightening & I really enjoyed it, the lemonade was yummy too! 😉

Thanks, yeah I am going to try and not put so much pressure on myself about the whole choosing my major issue at the moment.

That’s great to hear, since I’ve heard more complaints about this event than good things! Yeah, about choosing your major, you still have plenty of time, so don’t feel pressured!
