I went to this workshop on Tuesday. It covered the services that the Career Center offers, and was also very helpful in showing the correct way to write our resumes. The handout they gave us was also useful since it pointed out the specifics of what to include, how to format resumes, and even how to write cover letters and thank you letters. The woman who presented the workshop added practical tips as well, such as what to do during an interview when we are told to wait (e.g., fidgeting is a no-no) or how to apply to jobs online through the Starr Search website.
Overall, I thought that it was a good workshop that offered information that I probably would not have found elsewhere. I recommend it to anyone who wants to write or edit their own resumes.
Awesome! Good timing since you guys need to bring in your resumes for the next class!
