I went to the Career Planning: Basic Interviewing workshop on Thursday, October 29, 12:50pm – 2:20pm in VC 1-107. The workshop was pretty useful, as it covered many important aspects to think about when going for an interview. The goals of the workshop were to prepare students for an interview. It taught us all of the basic things remember, such as how to dress, and it also taught us about some important things to say when being interviewed. I will definitely have this workshop in mind the next time I go for an interview. I chose to go to this workshop because I wanted to improve my interviewing skills, as interviews are a vital aspect of getting a job. I took the workshop out of my comfort zone by rehearsing part of an interview with another person. The workshop met my expectations, being that I feel much more prepared for an interview now. This workshop taught me the essentials on how to prepare for an interview, including attire, what to say and how to say it. I learned a lot from this experience and I would recommend the workshop to others because it serves as a great guide to interviewing.
Was there anything you liked about it, or would you recommend this workshop to others?
