This workshop was designed for freshmen to better understand the requirements they need to complete in order to progress through Baruch. Many freshmen were confused as to what they needed to take in order to get into the particular school they wanted to be in at Baruch and this workshop helped us to better understand this. The goal was to let the freshmen know exactly what is expected of them academically and how they can be helped in the process. This workshop took me out of my comfort zone because I am really shy and do not like asking people questions about certain things and I often do not know what I am doing as a result of my shyness. My expectations were met because now I know exactly what I is expected of me and what I need to do to achieve the goals. I would definitely recommend this one to other students because it really is informative and lets us know what is expected of us. I learned exactly what I need to do to pursue a Political Science major, had i not attended I probably would not have known as a freshmen what I need to do. What I took from this workshop was that there is always someone to ask when you have an academic “path” question.
Awesome, but always feel free to go to the advisement center if you have questions later on!
