This was a workshop that was set up to notify us what an interview is basically about.
- We should dress properly; suggested that we should wear work clothes like a dress shirt and pants (no jeans or sneakers).
- We should kow our strong points and our weaknesses.
- Your expertises and what you expect out of this job you are applying to.
- Also, why you want the job. But don’t overdo it like saying you want the money or to kill time.
So they demonstrated an interview by showing us what to do and what not to do. After they did that, they told us to practice interviewing with the people around us. I had a bit of a difficulty there because I have nothing I am good at, and no real job experiences. So this was really weird for me :[ This shows how unprepared I am in the business world. So! I’m thinking of going for an internship but I do not know in what field (undecided major). Internships require interviews too though. Scary.
But overall, this workshop brought out the basics of an interview with a live demostration and is great for unexperienced people like me :]
That’s the point of internships, it’s so you can learn and explore, so even though you are undecided, you should definitely apply and try things out!
