Job and Internships Fair

This Career workshop really was insightful to me. It explained about the Club Fair that was taking place on Nov. 20. In this workshop, 2 guys came up on stage and talked to us about different tips, startegies and do’s/dont’s about the career fair and how to get a successful internship in general. I thought that both of them clearly explained what needed to be done and I learned new career tips.

As for the Job Fair itself, I was nervous at first. I hadnt prepared a mini-speech the night before and I was panicking, thinking that it would be crowded when I went there and that I wouldnt get the chance to be able to get my resume across the companies that I wanted to seek a job in. You had to dress up, but that wasnt a problem.  This was also my first time actually going to one, so that was another reason. On the contrary, it went way better than expected. The gym wasnt crowded at all, it was easy to find the companies that you wanted and there were no lines. I gave my resume to like 6 companies and it was a nice experience. I didnt get an internship because it was mostly for Soph. and up. Also they had summer internships, so I might get a chance then. This experience gave me more confidence and I would recommend this to everyone.

Awesome! I’m so glad that you actually attended a career fair! Like you said, even though it was mostly for upperclassmen, you still had a great learning experience!
