Mercedes Matters

I attended a workshop called Mercedes Matters. Her artwork was broken down into three periods, her early life, middle, and late. We had to walk into each room which described different parts of her life. As she got older, her work became more abstract and complex. The workshop was okay, but we really didn’t have that much time to really see her pictures, and the lady talked a little too much. The workshop over all was okay. Personally I am not that interested in abstract paintings, but I guess it allowed to open my opinions to other things. I didn’t like how we had to wait online for the other group to finish before I had a chance to go in. I would recommend this to others because it was short, but I was kinda bored, the only thing that was really interesting about it was the artwork. However, I definitely want to attend another gallery in the future, but probably involving surrealism or still life.
