Global-Community Awareness @ 11/12/09

Time and Location: 11/12/09 @ 12:30 – 2:30 Room 2-215

I enjoyed this workshop it was nice and simple: an anecdote wth free subways sandwiches !! Other than the free food, the story was nice. The speaker explained his life story to the audience in about 10 minutes perhaps and it was very interesting.

He used to be astraight C student in college, getting nothing but C’s. He applied to an internship to intern for the President and he got it !! He helped Al Gore, I think, with an election and traveled all across the nation. Later he quit and worked with MTV. Now he is working for ConEdison. His main point about his life is that he is gay, in sexual orientation, but it did not stop him from doing what he wanted.

He summarized the moral of his life to the audience saying that we should all be goal setters and strive for something. Don’t let anything stop you, even ifother may judge. People will always judge but just ignore them as he did.

I enjoyed the lecture because it showed me that een the average C student could do something as great as he did. Personally, I hate politics but what he did is pretty amazing. He also said he got to go to fancy dinners with the higher ups of government.

Personally I would love to be a professional dancer, choreographer, or a CGI animater for movies or games. But I have basic experience in all of them. I suppose I’ll just try my best a bit at a time.

I REALLY REALLY want to >___< but I'm 1,000,000% positive my parents wont let me transfer colleges. The one college I would LOVE to go to is UCLA. (I think that's the initials xD ) It's a very famous performance arts college in California. A lot of good dance groups come out from there.

Hey Jeffrey, I’m glad to see that this workshop inspired you to express your dreams! If business isn’t for you, and what you want to do is dance, or entertainment, go for it!
