What did you think of the Club Fair?!! Are you interested in any specific club(s)? If so, please share. I enjoyed hanging out with everyone. We still need to come up with a name for ourselves other then BEG3A…so list your ideas. (*remember to pay attention to grammar & punctuation)
I thought that the fair was ok but could have had more food because its the best way to welcome (lure) people in. I liked the apple club and when I told the guy I’m not a Mac I’m a PC he said,” Do you like or own iPods?,” and I said I did and he concluded by saying, “Well my dear friend that right there means that you’re a certified Mac bro.”
I agree with Dana. The free snacks are always a plus.
The rows need to be further apart and the music should have been up and running much sooner. Also the booths/tables need to have signs with their names on it above as well as below the tables so that people walking by can see them It does no good only having it in fron of the table if you have students crowded around the sign-up sheets.
The club fair was fun. Altough it was very crowded the clubs that were represented were interesting. I signed up for a few, i can’t lie, mainly for the free snacks and or things, but they were all interesting and informative.
Ok Cheng, glad you had a chance to go and thanks for blogging. I understand your point about not joining clubs this semester. I tried joining stuff my 1st semester but it kind of left me stressed and more tired so I waited to the Spring semester.
The club fair was very informative and I did see some of the clubs that i like. I talked to the some Lamda Phi Epsilon brothers, they were very cool and signed my planner. However I want to settle down into the new college this semester, and not join anything until the fall semester.
Personally I felt that the club fair during the Fall 2008 semester was much better in terms of the layout and variety of clubs. There was music and it was so packed. I remember staying less then 10 minutes, wandering around alone. I got roped into signing forms just to get pieces of candy and being lectured to about fraternities. I very much enjoyed attending this club fair with you all. Being a peer mentor is like my second chance at my own freshman experience…and it is so much better. You guys are hilarious and have a good sense of humor. I would like to thank the guys for keeping their word and showing up later on, shows alot of character.
ps. I hope everyone is working on their speech presentations due Wednesday because I will be taping them.
I was really surprised at the club fair. I thought prior to going that it wasn’t going to be as interesting as it was. I signed up for two clubs: ASEDOM and Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. I might have signed up for more clubs but there were too many people and I could barely hear the people speaking. I too had fun hanging out with everyone. It was a nice experience and now I know what clubs exist in Baruch.
